Rough Copy of the Digipak Analysis

This was our groups first design of the Digipak. The feedback was relatively positive but we will be making amendments on it due to what we have been told we can improve upon. The images themselves are quite good as it relates to the dream sequence of our piece as the coloration has been slightly saturated to give it a surreal affect.
However the top right and left images are considered to be too empty especially the top left as there is a lot of space next to the two artists in the images and to correct this we have come up with the idea to add quotes from the artists themselves.
Another thing to improve upon is the text in the bottom center mid image. This is because there is too much green in the scene causing it to not stand out so well and it doesn't have a drop shadow so it is not as prominent as text could be. In order to correct this we are going to be changing the font to a colour which doesn't blend in well with green and add a drop shadow to make it more noticeable as text.

Rough Copy of the Digipak

This is our groups rough version of our Digipak which we will show to people in order to get feedback on how to improve it and then we will do so accordingly so that it's the best we can possibly make it.

Rough Edit of the Music Video Analysis

When we showed different people our music video and the feedback was generally positive but there was a common theme for improvement which was mainly the narrative as the audience couldn't tell what was actually going on but that I believe is down to it being unfinished as the initiating scene in which the narrative starts isn't completed yet. In order to correct this we have to input the audio for a conversation that happens off screen which will make the narrative much clearer as the dialogue while being small is debatable key.

Rough Edit of the Music Video

(Due to it being a rough edit it is not complete and so the footage finishes at 2 minutes and the rest is just the audio i.e the song)

This is our groups rough edit of our music video which we put together to gather general feedback on what could be improved upon for our final piece. We have been taking the feedback into consideration.

Final Record Label Logo

Record Label Logo

This is the our groups final record label logo. It consists of a monitor with the text 'Bass Records' hovering above and over it. The monitor was chosen because it is generic equipment that is used by musicians and record companies. We didn't want to choose something as generic as a vinyl because we believe that it is overused and dated. A monitor on the other hand is a frequently used item in both recordings and live shows. Two different fonts were used for the words. A thicker block font was used for for 'BASS' because basses are usually thick and deep and this font suits the characteristics of a bass. The other font used was in the style of scratchy stencil which we used this to link it to vinyls because vinyls are scratched by a needle to produce the sound.

Making of the Record Company logo

Similar to the artist logo the record company logo was made in the same way the post shows how it was made and the decisions that came with it.
