This is our bands final logo and there are various reasons as to why it is an elephant. The first being that the artist behind the music we are using, who is also in our production, loves elephants, they are his favourite animal and because we are actually using him and his own pieces of music we wanted to make it personal to him. The second being that it is part of the rock genre. The rock genre tends to be more personal to the artist than the more mainstream genres such as pop in our groups opinion so we saw an opportunity to personalise it and conform to what we believe.

Making of the artist logo
This is how our groups band logo was made. It was made by Sulieman, one of my group members he came across some difficulties mentioned above but overall, it wasn't a very hard task.. It basically depicts what he had to do in order to create our artist logo.

Website Analysis
In order to understand how websites attract and keep their target audience interested I researched and analyse what a music website actually features and also how it is presented to its audience based on various factors such as age.

More Digipak Tests
I have continued to create more silk images using different effects to my previous video.
With this one I used the 5 point starting point and reflected it giving it 10 points of origins and made it move towards the center. I did this just to see how using a different amount of points would look and overall i'm pleased with the outcome as the overall pattern is very trippy and it is quite eye catching as it looks like it needs to be figured out.
Similar to the previous image i used a large number of points this time using 6 but with the reflection, it became 12. This one I believe to better than the previous one as it is less trippy and it is much more clear as there is less going on in the image. The shape could be interpreted as a star and is overall a nice image and the colour of the image is a lot simpler which is why I think it is better.
This one was completely new to me as i used 4 points with no reflection thus only 4 lines appeared at once. Out of the 3 this is my favourite as it has no reflections so there is less going on and I think the colours work really well together and despite not having the move to the center effect the spiralling aroiund the center works well and may be used in our digipak specifically on the CD.

Examples of images created using Silk
When looking for other sites similar to Silk I came across a tumblr page where it featured other Silk users work and they were really good and some of them could give inspiration when it comes to creating a digipak.

Previously I was using weave silk to create potential digipak images and when browsing the internet I came across other peoples weave silk work on tumblr and thought that they were very interesting and amazing in the sense that drawing a proper shape that you intended is quite difficult on the site.

Digipak Testing
In class today I used the website http://weavesilk.com/ to just create random ideas for a digipak cover just looking at what this site could do as I find the wispy effect of the work quite interesting and it could lead to part of the digipak being made on this site. Here is my first attempt at the site:
I took my own initiative to create this as I found this website to be quite cool looking and experimenting with it was a great way for me to practice making potential designs for out groups digipak.

My Practice CD Cover
Today in class we were practicing using photoshop as we are now focusing on our ancillary task to create a digipak and so we were practicing making one, here is my first attempt:
The way in which this was created was by going onto flickr random and selecting an image that had been uploaded in the last seven days. The band name in the bottom right hand corner was selected by going onto wikipedia and selecting a random article and the name of the article was "Las Vegas Limited" and to get the album name we went onto random quotes page, found the last quote on the page and used the last 5 words mine being "Important and Wishing Never Works" which doesn't make sense so it was shortened to "Wishing Never Works"
